I have an amazing new client who my team and I are helping complete the final formatting of her book and helping her submit to Amazon KDP. We were getting a bit tangled on when to publish her book, when it could feasibly be ready and available for purchase, and whether to do a BIG launch or not! I could tell she was getting a bit worried about whether she was going to do the “right” thing or not. So in today’s episode, I break down what a launch is and share my perspective on launching or not launching. Most importantly I ask a very important question that will help you connect with your inner knowing and find YOUR answer to this question. In today’s episode, I break down the common ways folks can begin their books, bring the reader in, and get the reader ready for the rest of the book: Foreword: typically something someone else writes for you to prep the readers for the book, and brag on you a bitLetter to the reader: just what it says, the author writes a letter to the reader that can feel really personal and like a warm way into the rest of the book Introduction: this literally introduces readers to the book like a letter, but does so in a more formal wayChapter 1: jumping right in with an essential part of the book that connects to the rest of the chaptersAs always, leave us a review so that more people see the podcast and get the writing support they need.
